Daniel Henry Holmes Jr. (1851-1901) was a lawyer and poet who lived in New York and New Orleans This small collection of poems derived from nursery rhyme titles was published by Thomas B. Mosher in limited editions of 900, the first one in 1910. This is the third edition, of 1914. Printed on Van Gelden handmade paper. 99p., rough cut, unmarked and unsoiled. Foreword by the publisher. Lavender endpapers. Faded lavender boards with pasted title label. Paper label on the spine as well. Spine is starting to crack at top and bottom but the book is still tight and the binding strong. Corners bumped. Stain at top of front cover. Loose owner's plate for Joe W. Sweet inserted p. 55. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
