Perhaps even more relevant under the current (2025) administration as when it was written in the midst of WWII, the author describes his undercover work with so-called "patriotic" groups that were actually working to undermine democracy through nativism nationalism, Nazism, & fascism disguised as "pro-Americanism." In 344 pages with rarely seen black-&-white photos throughout the text. Orig. published in June 1943, this was already the 24th printing of that FIRST EDITION by Dec. of that same year. Octavo with matte black cloth-covered boards lettered in black inside red title boxes to front & spine is in VG+ condition: very clean, binding strong & straight, pages moderately tanned (commensurate with ate & wartime paper quality), but supple & completely unmarked. Mid pushing to both ends of spine & corners, white smudge through publisher's name at heel of spine. NO DJ. Our photos depict the Exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have! Same Day Shipping on all orders received by 2 pm Weekdays (Pacific); later orders, Weekends & holidays ship very next business day.…
