Hardback. Condition: Good. No Jacket. Rountree, Harry & Bull, Rene (illustrator). Circa 1941. Good condition with no wrapper. Very large format (12.5 x 10"). Beige cloth with brown and red title and colour illustration to front. With twelve tissue-guarded colour plates by Rountree and eighty-four pen and ink text illustrations by Bull. A wonderful edition of this classic story. Spine and corners bumped and rubbed. Damp stain to lower edge of front cover (also affecting pastedown inside). Name and date in ink to front free-endpaper. Grubby fingermarks to page margins throughout. Some light damp staining to edges of plates and tissue-guards (not affecting the actual illustrations). One of the plates has a closed tear to the inner margin at base. Still a decent copy. Packaged with care and promptly dispatched! Seller Inventory # 1328892

Beige fabric over board covers with orange and brown titles to front, a little corner wear but front cover appears to have suffered some water damage with fabric detached from boards over top half, some staining which has gone through to first page. d/w chips, tears, missing tipped in illustration, stains and generally down at heel. Inside 110 unmarked pages with stain from front diminishing quickly over first few pages, illustrations all present and bright as new. Binding weak but appears to be holding all pages in place.
