Paperback. Your business is profitable BUT that doesn't mean it's sellable - that's because a profitable business is not always a saleable one! Many SME owners assume they will sell when the time is right - only to discover too late that buyers see risk where they see value. Every year, thousands of owner-managed businesses reach the point where the founder wants to step back, sell, retire, pass the company on, or simply create more freedom - only to discover a painful truth: buyers don't see the business the way the owner does. You see years of hard work, loyal customers, strong revenue and healthy profit. Buyers see risk. Will the revenue continue without you? Can the team run the business? Are the financials clean enough to survive due diligence? Are contracts, systems, processes and valuation expectations strong enough to withstand buyer scrutiny?Even if one or two answer no - offers fall, deals stall, earn-outs grow, and buyers walk away. The UnSellable Business gives SME founders and owners a practical framework for changing those odds.Built around the eight-part TRANSFER framework, this book shows you how to diagnose the risks that make good businesses difficult to sell - and how to fix them before you go to market. Inside, you'll discover how to: - Score your business against the eight value-critical TRANSFER factors- Identify which weaknesses are dealbreakers and which are fixable- Reduce founder dependency, revenue risk, financial opacity and operational fragility- Build a realistic 12-24 month roadmap to improve transferability- Understand how buyers, lenders and successors really assess your business- Prepare for valuation, due diligence, exit options and the sale process itself This is not theory. It is a working guide for owners of 2m-20m businesses who want to build value, create options and negotiate from strength. Because the best businesses to sell are the ones you don't have to sell. • Reduce founder dependency, revenue risk, financial opacity and operational fragility

This is not theory. It is a working guide for owners of £2m–£20m businesses who want to build value, create options and negotiate from strength.
Because the best businesses to sell are the ones you don’t have to sell.
Discover your TRANSFER score. Build your roadmap. Increase Enterprise Value and Create a business that buyers can believe in.
