The Ultimate Hitting Fundamentals, Techniques, and Strategy Guide is the first book in our new hitting series called Building the High-Level Swing. This first book comprehensively describes hitting fundamentals systematically and stepwise. It explains the mechanics, techniques, and options to enable each unique player to construct a powerful and productive swing from the ground up - a complete and unabridged hitter's "bible." It also provides a practical template for assessing a hitter and then setting appropriate short and long-term hitting goals.
Each fundamental step references appropriate drills to build that skill – find these drills in our new companion book, The Ultimate Hitting Training Guide. We hope you utilize both guides - together, they provide the ultimate swing construction training plan.
Here is more specific information about The Ultimate Hitting Fundamentals, Techniques, and Strategies Guide.
Building Rome Series lays out a common-sense approach to creating a powerful and effective swing from the earliest ages and continuing through college-level competition. The coach can relax and follow this "cookbook" for developing successful hitters.
The first task for becoming a great hitter is to figure out what expert performers do that makes them so good. For sure, if you want exceptional results, you must look at the remarkable for guidance. We analyzed hundreds of slow-motion videos of college and professional hitters in precise detail. The often intricate, interrelated, and varying movement patterns identified in the High-Level swing were broken down, frame by frame. Our guide describes what, truly, is critical for maximizing performance (Universal and Absolute) and what is a matter of style (Customize to Player).
Material is organized logically following the chain of energy. We present steps in a manner to progressively build understanding and enable teaching to others. Even those with limited fastpitch softball or baseball background can use the hitting guide to help kids build a sound swing.
Building the High-Level Swing Series leaves "no stone unturned" about hitting a baseball or softball for power and high productivity. All commonly used techniques, as well as less common variations, are explored. The player, coach, and parent know the pros and cons of all the options and strategies available and will be confident discussing these with hitting experts.
Have fun building your customized hitting “Rome!”
