The Unshakable Assurance of Salvation: Held by the Finished Work of Christ is a deeply biblical and Christ-centered exploration of one of the most important questions in the Christian life: Can believers truly know they are saved?

Many Christians sincerely love the Lord yet quietly struggle with fear, doubt, uncertainty, and anxiety about salvation. Questions about perseverance, obedience, warning passages, suffering, spiritual growth, sin after conversion, and the fear of falling away often leave believers unsettled and spiritually exhausted. This book was written to address those struggles with pastoral care, theological depth, and unwavering focus on Jesus Christ.

Through careful teaching and Scripture-centered examination, Dr. Ed Grefiel leads readers through the Bible’s unified message of redemption—from God’s promises before the cross to the finished work of Christ and the preserving power of the Holy Spirit. Rather than treating assurance as presumption or emotional confidence, this book presents assurance as a biblical reality grounded in the character of God, the promises of Scripture, and the completed work of Jesus Christ.

The book carefully explores:
• The foundation of assurance in God’s unchanging purpose
• Salvation by grace through faith
• The finished work of Christ
• Justification and the new birth
• The believer’s union with Christ
• The sealing and sustaining work of the Holy Spirit
• Faith, obedience, perseverance, and spiritual growth
• The role of the church and the means of grace
• Sin after salvation and the believer’s ongoing struggle
• Warning passages, apostasy, and difficult texts in Hebrews
• Self-examination, suffering, endurance, and eschatological hope

Special attention is given to difficult and often misunderstood passages of Scripture, helping readers approach them within the full context of God’s redemptive plan rather than through fear-driven interpretation. Throughout the book, assurance is consistently anchored not in human performance, but in the faithfulness of God who saves, preserves, and completes His work in His people.

Written with both theological clarity and pastoral compassion, this book is designed for pastors, teachers, discipleship groups, Bible students, new believers, and mature Christians alike. Each chapter invites readers not merely to study assurance as a doctrine, but to live in the peace, confidence, obedience, and hope that flow from trusting Christ completely.

The Unshakable Assurance of Salvation calls believers to move:
from fear to confidence,
from striving to resting,
from uncertainty to trust,
and from self-reliance to Christ alone.

Because salvation is not sustained by the strength of man—
but by the finished work of the Savior who saves completely, preserves faithfully, and finishes what He begins.
