"These are the adventures of Temporal Detective Constable Alexandra Mary Cappanni [Nee Featherstone] who was born in 1871 in London. She was one of the few qualified female Doctors at the time. Alex worked at the Whitechapel Hospital in London's East End. Her father - Arthur - and her older brother - Charles - were also surgeons.
But in 1901, Alexandra suddenly vanished and no trace of her was ever found, in that time period. But in 1790 there appeared in Italy; an English Countess of Cappanni; newly married to the dashing and handsome young Count of Cappanni; Henri the 16th Count.
Henri was a 'time traveller' and had persuaded Alex to abscond with him back to Cappanni in the 1790's.
In 1801; tragedy struck the seemingly happy couple when Alex - in childbirth - almost died. Henri in a desperate bid to save her life; returned her to 1901 and sought her father and brothers' assistance. He also knew that - if she died out of her ordained time period - her soul would be lost to the darkness of real death.
Alex could not be saved and died February 28th, 1901. But her soul was collected and processed. Temporal Detective Inspector Jericho Tibbs persuaded the Duty Death Angel - Margret - that she would be a valuable asset to the Department and so Alex joined the temporal detectives.
Having experienced death; Alex decided to grab this chance at 'living' again with both hands.
She certainly did that!"
