Lady Caroline Whitcomb has been the perfect widow for four years-proper, controlled, and utterly miserable. But when a rough Irish-American war veteran crashes her carefully ordered world with one scandalous kiss, everything she thought she knew about herself shatters.
Daniel O'Connor carries the weight of war in his dark eyes and survivor's guilt in his soul. He came to London for business, not to fall for an ice-cold English aristocrat who makes his blood burn with a single glance. But when society's vipers attack the woman brave enough to defend him, all his protective instincts roar to life.
She's everything he shouldn't want: refined, proper, completely out of his league. He's everything she shouldn't need:dangerous, passionate, utterly improper.
When Caroline chooses scandal over safety and Daniel chooses love over fear, their enemies-to-lovers romance will either heal their wounded hearts-or destroy them both.
What awaits you:
Widowed heroine discovering passion again
Irish war hero with dark secrets and gentle hands
Steamy tension within Regency propriety
Family drama and social scandal
PTSD representation with realistic healing
Series finale that will leave you breathless
The stunning conclusion to the beloved American Heiresses series!

About the Author
Violet Sinclair writes swoon-worthy Regency romance with a dash of adventure and a whole lot of heart. Splitting her time between the rolling landscapes of Italy and the sun-drenched shores of Florida, she finds inspiration in history, travel, and the occasional glass of wine on a picturesque balcony. When she's not crafting tales of love and longing, she's indulging in her own favorite romances-whether by lounging poolside with a book, wandering through cobblestone streets steeped in history, or dreaming of glittering London ballrooms. She shares her whirlwind life with her husband and their four boys, embracing every adventure, from Disney escapades to camping under the stars.
