A snowy forest. A wise raven. Two mischievous squirrels. And a wolf who learns that friendship is stronger than fear.
Snow and Shenanigans: A New Year's Tale is a whimsical picture book that captures the sparkle of winter magic and the warmth of unexpected friendship.
Under the soft glow of the winter moon, Tom and Jim - two red squirrels brimming with energy - tumble through the snowdrifts, chasing mischief wherever it leads. But the ancient forest holds secrets. When Fang the Wolf prowls into the story, his amber eyes flash with hunger and pride. Watching from above is Grandpa Raven, majestic and frost-feathered, whose dry humor hides a heart of wisdom.
What begins as a test of wits becomes something far more powerful: a discovery that even the fiercest predator can become a friend when laughter, courage, and kindness melt the coldest night.
✨ Why children (and grown-ups) will love this book:
- A winter adventure filled with gentle humor, suspense, and heart.
- Memorable characters: two lively squirrels, a proud wolf, and a wise old raven.
- A tale that blends traditional fairytale magic with a fresh, playful voice.
- Stunning watercolor-style illustrations bring the snow-laden forest to life.
- A story that celebrates friendship, courage, and the spirit of New Year wonder.
Perfect for cozy bedtime reading, classroom storytelling, or family gatherings during the holiday season, Snow and Shenanigans is designed for ages 4-9 but will charm readers of all ages. With its luminous illustrations and timeless themes, it's a storybook that children will want to return to every winter.
Whether read aloud by the fireside or discovered quietly under blankets, this tale reminds us that joy and kindness are the true treasures of the season.
