Eva never expected her life to change in an instant. One moment, she was watching a high school fight spiral out of control. The next, reality cracked apart. A rift tore through the air, swallowing her, Jake, and Zara into a world that shouldn't exist-a fractured realm where crystal-infused magic fuels war, and survival means knowing who to trust.
Thrown into the middle of a brewing war, Eva and her friends find themselves in Lyria, a city ruled by an oppressive force draining emotions from its people to sustain an ancient power. The elite live in gilded towers, while those who resist are sent to the Arena of Ashes-where only the strongest survive. Separated and hunted, they each face impossible choices.
Jake, ever the skeptic, searches for logic in a world ruled by magic. As he uncovers forbidden technology hidden deep beneath Lyria, he realizes their arrival wasn't an accident. Someone-or something-has been pulling the strings long before they fell through the rift. Zara, forced into brutal gladiatorial combat, fights for survival in an arena where death is a spectacle, and only violence earns freedom. But the more she fights, the more she loses herself, her fists becoming weapons of war in a game she doesn't know how to escape.
Meanwhile, Eva is drawn toward the heart of Lyria's secret-a crystal unlike any other, pulsing with a power that calls to her. But she's not the only one who hears it. The Chancellor, ruler of Lyria, sees her as both a threat and an opportunity. As the city's true purpose is revealed, Eva learns she has a connection to the rift itself, one that could either shatter the balance of power or doom them all.
With the walls of Lyria closing in, they must decide: do they fight the war already raging, or do they forge their own path before the city consumes them whole?
The Crystal War is an electrifying blend of fantasy and science fiction, where the past and future collide, and the fate of multiple worlds may rest in the hands of those who never asked for the responsibility.
