Quarto. TLS. Dated December 1st, 1937. Folds from mailing else fine. A letter from writer Fannie Hurst to Mrs. Jessie R. Chamberlin, director of the Women's Press Club of New York and member of the Women's Internaional Association of Aeronautics declining a meeting and thanking her for allowing her to "participate in the Amelia Earhart ceremonies," a charity event for the recently missing pilot. Hurst and Earhart had been friends before the pilot disappeared in the summer of 1937.
