A very good copy in a good dust jacket for its age of this definitive designer's manual for book production. Dust Jacket: Orange coloured laminated paper with white lettering to front and spine and black lettering to all faces; very clean and bright; some bumping and chipping to all edges, commensurate with age and use, 2 x 2cm tears to top front. 3 cm tear to bottom rear, but all present; not price clipped (now protected). Cover: quarter green cloth over design printed paper covered boards with gilt lettering to spine; in very good condition; very clean and bright; perhaps slightest bumping to top and bottom of spine but generally in very good condition. Internally: very clean and tightly bound; very small discreet book plate from previous owner to front paste-down, no other markings or inscriptions; top edges green, perhaps slightest darkening to other edges; paste downs and free end papers green. x, 310 pp. Also includes small handwritten note from previous owner (an apprentice at Mackay's before and after the war).
