Paperback. Two professors. One suspicious invitation. Absolutely no one involved is equipped for this.Jack Miller prefers sarcasm, bad coffee, and the relative safety of academia. Dieter von Starck prefers order, precision, and people who don't ask unnecessary questions. Neither man is remotely interested in espionage.Unfortunately, espionage seems very interested in them. When both are lured to a mysterious "security symposium" in Florida, what starts as academic inconvenience quickly turns into a sun-soaked mess of burner phones, dubious handlers, suspicious cocktails, international money trails, and one missing Cuban finance official. Now, with trouble following them from hotel conference rooms to Havana backstreets, Jack and Dieter must do the unthinkable: work together. The problem? Jack treats danger like an administrative error, and Dieter approaches human interaction like a hostile spreadsheet.Packed with dry wit, unlikely heroics, eccentric operatives, and just enough chaos to keep everyone under-caffeinated, Two Reluctant Spies: Rum, Revolution and Redemption is a sharply funny spy adventure for readers who love clever banter, international intrigue, and reluctant sleuths thrown far out of their depth.Perfect for fans of witty espionage, academic misfits, and cozy capers with global consequences.
