THE PSALMS may be the most widely read book in the Old Testament, but it is not understood. Our Modern Study Bibles have outlines for every book except the Psalms. The Two Plots Against The Lord is the fi rst and only book that provides outlines identifying the subject matter of each Psalm. Psalm 1 and 2 serve as an introduction to the entire book. Both Psalms refer to a plot to take the Lord's life. But God concealed in Psalm 1:1 that the wicked council was the Jewish Sanhedrin. Because of this plot, Psalms 3-30 present a prophetic account of the Lord's suffering, resurrection, and ascension. The plot in Psalm 2 remains unfulfi lled. This second plot is detailed in Psalms 9, 60-64, 75-83 and 90-91. Chapters 1-3 of this book make known why the Psalms are not understood and chapter 4 reveals what men have done to the Psalms which increases the diffi culty to understand them. My quest to understand the Psalms began in 1955, in my 15th year as a pastor. I searched the library of the seminary I attended along with 5 other libraries. What the Holy Spirit taught me in the past 47 years about the Psalms in now made available to him who treasures understanding. (Pr. 4:7-9).
