Paperback. Here's a rarity-an inspiring and powerful memoir by an aunt and her nephew who have achieved a perfect harmony as people as well as writers. Through stories and poems written over the course of their entire lifetimes, the book offers their separate accounts of the unique and loving bond they formed over fifty years ago, when they were both at a low point in their lives. It triumphs as a record of second chances and the healing power of love and the creative process. And it affirms the utility of creative expression in overcoming the rigidity, emotional and moral blindness, and refusal to come to terms with hidden famiy truths that have spanned generations. An aunt and her nephew collaborate on a years-long effort to understand and transcend family abuse. This item is printed on demand.
