About this Item
Few dishes cannot be improved by the addition of some cheese - at least not the way Kraft sees it! Here are two recipe books from Kraft. The first, from 1936. is Favorite Recipes from Marye Dahnke's File. She was at that time Director of the Home Economics Department of the Kraft-Phenix Cheese Corporation. This very attractive 45 page book has recipe-card sized pages, with paintings of the dishes in color. The covers are decorated with a collection of rare plates, dating back as far as the seventh century BC. The recipes feature a lot of Velveeta. Kraft American, Old English Creamed Cheese and Philadelphia Brand Cream Cheese, which was a product of the Phenix Company, acquired by Kraft in 1928. The other book , Food Favorites from the Kraft Television Theatre.Selected by Popular Request. The plastic comb binding allows the book to stand up on a built-in easel. Each recipe has black and white photos showing how to make the dish. There are 32 recipes, with Velveeta and Philly again in starring roles. Kraft mayonnaise, French Dressing, Salad Oil and Parkay also make appearances. I think I grew up eating some of these dishes!.; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 45,32 pages. Seller Inventory # 17243
