Green cloth boards with gilt, gray and brown lettering and decorative illustration stamped on front board. Boards are heavily rubbed. Corners and edges are worn and bumped; spine is faded. Pastedown decorative endpapers deeply tanned. Front hinge is slightly cracked. Binding is beginning to weaken in the center. Narrow stain runs across the top corner of all pages. Gilt-edged pages are smooth and otherwise unmarked. Beautifully illustrated old book.
