John Moriarty was described as "an eco-poet keen on drawing on the vast sources of primitive mythologies, ancient narratives, and contemporary insights in science and spirituality to help us redirect humanity toward an evolutionary understanding that takes seriously its obligations to the planet" by professor Michael W. Higgins (of the John Moriarty Institute) as quoted in a 2019 article and interview in the Irish Times entitled "The greatest Irish thinker you've never read? It could be this man [Moriarty]."
Each volume has mild shelfwear to book and jacket, including jacket edge chipping and nicks. Each volume has corner bumped, but chiefly affecting the covers, with minimal if any effect on page block. In addition: Volume 2 has some foxing to edges, but with only minimal bleed-through to page faces, and no text affected. Volume 3 has mild soiling to edges, not affecting page faces. Volume 3 has small puncture through front jacket panel, extending shallowly into (but not all the way through) the board beneath.
