8vo. Pp. Vol I, xx, 236; Vol II, xxii, 250; Vol III, xxii, 154. Memoir of the author by J. M. Cook. Illustrated with drawings and maps in the text and black & white photo reproductions on glossy stock. Appendices. Bibliography. Index. Endpaper maps. Previous owner's signature to front free endpaper (vol. III). Due to a production error, two leaves in the volume Turkey Beyond the Maeander were not cut, resulting in a diagonal crease on those leaves. Bound in brick-colored cloth with gilt lettering printed on spine. In the laminated dust jackets with color photograph on front cover; Vol. III jacket is price clipped; all with sunning to the spine. With the ownership signature of noted art historian Caroline Houser, long associated with Smith College and the Fogg, author of Greek Monumental Bronze Sculpture Thames & Hudson, 1983, Dionysos and His Circle Fogg Art Museum, 1979. Dust jackets are now housed in removable, clear archival protectors.
