Tucker & Me: Growing Up a Part-Time Southern Boy is a poignant, humorous, and deeply human memoir of childhood in the 1960s-a time of big cars, bigger hair, and the shifting tides of American culture. Set between two dramatically different worlds, the story follows a boy raised by a single mother in fast-paced, sun-soaked Los Angeles, who spent his summers in the quiet, tradition-steeped town of Tucker, Georgia-a suburb of Atlanta where time seemed to move slower and Southern customs ran deep.
Torn between the polished, modern glamour of the West Coast and the dusty porches and drawled charm of the South, the author recounts the joys, heartaches, and culture clashes of living a double life. From funny family mishaps and awkward teenage moments to moments of real danger and emotional depth, Tucker & Me captures what it means to grow up with one foot in two worlds-and the resilience it takes to belong to both.
This memoir is a love letter to childhood, a coming-of-age journey full of grit, grace, and the unforgettable characters who shaped a boy into a man.

Review
Andrew Harvey creates the two worlds, Tucker and L.A., with humor and the cleareyed courage to tell how the dynamic of these very different places and people helped to form his life's path. The simplicity and warmth of his recollections make him both a reliable and friendly guide on this journey. Andy Robinson, Actor/Director/Professor of Theater-USC Author of the Memoir: Stepping Into the Light: Sources of an Actor's Craft
"Readers can feel and taste the magical moments. You feel like you're sitting by the fi replace with Uncle Andy, sipping coffee and listening to his fanciful yarns." J. Bennett Easterling, author of award-winning Of God, Rattlesnakes, and Okra
"I've performed with iconic musicians such as John Mellencamp, Bob Seger, John Fogerty and Ray Charles through the South since the 1980's and have made records with Lynyrd Skynyrd, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams Jr. and B.B. King, so I feel confi dent in telling you this book captures what the South is all about. You will relive the author's childhood, but also your own. Kenny Aronoff, Legendary Drummer Author of the Memoir, Sex, Drums, Rock 'N' Roll!
