From the author of Queen Anne's Curse
Six years ago, Caroline De Winter-renowned psychic and reluctant heroine-faced down a threat that nearly reignited World War II. She thought those dark days were behind her.
She was wrong.
When a desperate call for help comes from a quiet village in the English Cotswolds, Caroline agrees to a quick detour. Her husband, retired detective Geoffrey Spencer, remains blissfully unaware-until a body is discovered in a remote barn and a terrified seven-year-old girl, with secrets of her own, becomes the sole witness.
What begins as a weekend getaway unravels into a deadly game of shadows and secrets. A vengeful spirit from Caroline and Geoffrey's past has returned... and it's not alone.
As strange deaths and supernatural accidents spiral out of control, the local police are forced to admit what they cannot explain. From the idyllic charm of Bibury to a violent heist in Le Havre, Caroline and Geoffrey are pulled into a twisting investigation involving:
The battle lines are drawn-between justice and revenge, between the living and the dead.
