Spine slanted, creased, scuffed, reading crease. Some edge wear and rubbing, some sunning. Pages tanned but text is clean and unmarked. A good reading copy.; Bantam N8456. 1st New Bantam edition, 1974.; Nero Wolfe; 6¾" - 7¾" Tall; 183 pages; Incredibly brilliant Nero Wolfe, love of prize orchids and fine food, is without peer in the sphere of solving crime. But even the great man can't prevent a cold-blooded killing. In the most bone-chilling cases of his career, Wolfe takes on three clients with one thing in common-they all end up dead. As his confidential assistant Archie Goodwin ducks bullets and dallies with dangerous ladies, Wolfe himself is marked for murder-and only his own cleverness can save his life.
