Book One takes us back to 1771 with young Jean-Baptiste Bayard’s adventures in fighting wars, the American Revolution, falling in love, and beginning an exciting life, unaware of the societal upheaval and slave uprising on the horizon.
Book Two continues with Toussaint Louverture’s heroic rise from slave to governor of the richest colony on earth, vanquishing the armies of Spain, and Britain, and navigating trade treaties with the second President of the United States.
Book Three continues the exciting story by introducing Jean-Jacques Dessalines, the Civil War, the invasion and defeat of Napoleon Bonaparte, and the birth of the Republic of Haiti in 1804.
This is not a magical fairy tale! It is a recount of incredible events that were purposefully kept out of history books for far too long. Packed with romance, war, intrigue, and political betrayal, these irresistible page-turners entertain and educate readers.
The Triumph To Tragedy series is the continuing story of the first and only successful slave revolution in the world that birthed the Republic of Haiti and is still being tragically fought today.
