Edited by Marianne Carus (later founder of Cricket Magazine), Thomas G. Anderson, and Howard R. Webber. Hardcover pictorial boards feature rich wraparound artwork in a mid-century style, with integrated black-and-white and color illustrations throughout. A nostalgic and collectible classroom reader reflecting Open Court’s progressive literacy pedagogy of the 1960s–70s.
