Rebound in a half calf binding, with marbled paper covered boards and new endpapers. With a hand written spine label. ESTC number T27889. Second edition with large annotations and improvements. Lacking the original half-title pages. Written by Thomas Bateman, the chaplain to the Duke of Gordon. This work is a fascinating history resource, being a guide to the tithe system of 18th century England. This work explains the type and quantity of payment expected and is a guide to this historical form of taxation. Rebound. In a half calf binding, with marbled paper covered boards. Externally smart, with light rubbing to the spine and extremities. Internally firmly bound. Pages are age toned with the occasional handling mark. A small amount of loss to the fore edge of the title page. Lightly cockled pages, with the odd mark. Very Good Indeed.
