The Treatise deals with agistment tithe, a church-levied charge on grazing land. The Appendix is a collection of source records, including records relating to a suit involving the author. According to Black's Law Dictionary (Seventh Edition), the tithe was paid by the occupier of the land rather than the person whose cattle grazed on the land (1493).
