Text in French. Illustrated green paper boards over red cloth spine. Some scratches and soiling to boards, not impacting illustration. Corners and spine ends bumped with some wear to edges. Tail of spine starting to fray with a small split along front joint. Spine cracked at front gutter. Shallow chip to front free endpaper. Toning and offsetting from plates with light foxing. One plate has a smoothed out crease at top corner. Very Good. In this scarce illustrated souvenir book, two children visit the various sights from the 10th World's Fair, or the Exposition Universelle of 1889, held in Paris from May 15th to November 6th, 1889. The crown jewel of the exposition was the recently completed Eiffel Tower, commissioned specifically for the event and, at the time, the tallest tower in the world. Quite scarce, with OCLC showing only 6 copies held by institutions worldwide. Seller Inventory # 10325
