From the Author
This is a basic collection of traveler rights for ailine passengers, car rental customers and credit card holders.
I saw far too many travelers standing at the mercy of airline and car rental personnel when faced with problems or qestions while traveling.
It seemed that when being bumped off a flight, faced with lost luggage, dealing with a delay or simply trying to change tickets passengers had to slowly work their way though a maze of airline staff and rules. Ane everything had to be taken on faith.
Car rental customers faced the same fate when trying to decide whether they needed collision damage waivers or should pay more for an upgrade.
Travel Rights informs travelers what airlines and rental companies will do for them when they face a bump in the road while traveling.
It also lists the main interned sites, outlines the best benefits offered by credit cards and outlines how to get tax refunds when traveling abroad.
Finally, travelers can deal with customer service reps from more equal footing.
