The group of the physically disabled used include the blind, the crippled and the lepers. A combination of questionnaire administration, focus group discussion and direct observations was employed to collect all necessary data for analysis. The study took a sample of 206 physically disabled and the systematic and stratified random sampling techniques were used at various stages of the data collection processes. Most physically disabled (68%) were engaged in begging, 7.7% were civil servants, and about 55.3% of them were not formally educated.
