LEARN TO TRAIN SMARTER, NOT HARDER.
Imagine translating your pet's behavior to understand what your pet is telling you and what they need to shift their behavior.
In this groundbreaking book on dog behavior, you’ll learn to translate exactly what your pet is trying to tell you through their on-leash reactivity, separation anxiety, barking, nipping, housebreaking accidents, and more, while exploring practical behavior training strategies for dogs, basic obedience commands, and activities rooted in positive reinforcement dog training.
Sometimes a bark is not just a bark. Accidents in the house can signal something bigger going on in your life. Separation anxiety often speaks to broader feelings of guilt.
Dog training is not only about the dog—it’s about the pet parent, too. Common pet behaviors not only say a lot about the dynamic you share with your pet, but also about other relationships in your life, your habits, and even career. That’s why when you understand what your pet’s behavior says about you, you can train smarter, not harder.
By deciphering what our dog is trying to tell us through their on-leash reactivity, separation anxiety, barking, nipping, chewing, housebreaking accidents, and more, we learn about our shared needs, motivations, and emotional states.
After working with hundreds of clients, certified dog trainer and animal communicator Denise Mange developed a proven methodology revealing the ways our actions, beliefs, and patterns affect our pets to help you create lasting change and powerful transformation not only in your dog’s behavior but in your own life as well.
This comprehensive resource is perfect for puppy training, helping rescue dogs adapt to a new home, providing comfort for senior pets, or simply engaging long-time companions in new ways.
You'll unleash
- Step-by-step training guidance for preventing and managing common behaviors such as on-leash reactivity, separation anxiety, barking, jumping, nipping, and housebreaking.
- Training activities for dogs and breakdowns of basic obedience commands, including Touch, Sit, Down, Stay, Leave It, Drop It, and Come.
- Practical case studies illustrating real-world applications.
PLUS

For those looking for a dog psychology book combined with practical dog training strategies, this is the ultimate guide.
