nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - The Traitor is a novel written by Thomas Dixon Jr. that tells the story of the fall of the Invisible Empire, also known as the Ku Klux Klan. The novel revolves around the character of Frank Beverley, a young man who joins the Klan in order to fight against what he perceives as the growing threat of African American political power in the South. However, as he becomes more deeply involved in the organization, Frank begins to realize that the Klan's actions are not only immoral but also ineffective in achieving their goals. As Frank struggles with his conscience and tries to find a way out of the Klan, he must confront the powerful and dangerous leaders of the organization, who will stop at nothing to maintain their hold on power. Along the way, Frank also falls in love with a young woman named Grace, who shares his beliefs in the importance of upholding traditional Southern values but who also recognizes the flaws in the Klan's methods. The Traitor is a gripping and thought-provoking novel that explores themes of morality, loyalty, and the dangers of extremism. Through its vivid characters and compelling plot, the book offers a powerful critique of the Klan and its legacy, while also highlighting the importance of standing up for what is right, even in the face of overwhelming opposition.1907. The Traitor closes The Trilogy of Reconstruction, which also includes The Leopard's Spots and The Clansman. The Clansman ended with the political triumph of the Klu Klux Klan, or Invisible Empire. The story of The Traitor opens with the order of dissolution by General Forest and is set in the atmosphere of the fierce neighborhood feuds which marked the Klan's downfall in the Piedmont region of the South.
