Paperback. Tate Garrison does not hike. He especially does not hike assigned "connection routes" at Dalton Blind Date Camp, where every scenic activity comes with suspicious timing, laminated prompts, and Maggie McGlynn's terrifying confidence in emotional outcomes. August Keegan, unfortunately, looks like the kind of man who packs responsibly, reads maps correctly, and stays calm under pressure. Tate finds that deeply annoying. The route is supposed to be simple. It is not. A wrong turn, shifting weather, and one very inconvenient storm leave Tate and August stranded together long enough for the jokes to run thin and the truth to get loud. Tate uses teasing to keep people from looking too closely. August uses composure to keep people from knowing how much he cares. But in the quiet of the woods, with no easy exits and no one to perform for, terrible timing starts to feel a lot like exactly the right moment. Trails, Teasing & Terrible Timing is a low-angst M/M romantic comedy featuring forced proximity, emotional honesty, hiking disasters, meddling matchmaking, one extremely suspicious camp activity, and two men learning that being ready is not always required before choosing someone.
