Paperback. Trading Patterns with Claude is a book that takes ten classic technical trading patterns and turns each one into a working, fully-documented TradingView strategy for GBP/USD, built collaboratively with Claude. The setup: every strategy shares the same $1,000 simulated account, 5-minute GBP/USD chart, a position-sizing formula that scales 3%-10% of equity based on signal strength, and an ATR-based trailing stop instead of a fixed target - so all ten are genuinely comparable to each other. The ten patterns, split roughly into two camps: Trend-following: EMA Crossover, MACD Crossover, Bollinger Band Breakout, Donchian Channel Breakout, Ichimoku Cloud TrendMean-reverting: RSI Reversal, Stochastic Crossover, Bollinger Band Mean Reversion, VWAP BounceRegime-neutral: Engulfing Candle PatternStructure: Ch. 1-3 - GBP/USD market mechanics and session timing, the shared risk framework, and the math behind expectancy and risk of ruinCh. 4-13 - one chapter per pattern: the logic, full Pine Script code, a parameter table, a worked example trade, common mistakes, and where each pattern wins or failsCh. 14-19 - comparing all ten strategies, the real gap between a TradingView backtest and live trading, a template for building an eleventh pattern with Claude, trade journaling, and an FAQAppendices - glossary, Pine Script function reference, a backtesting checklist, a strategies-at-a-glance table, further reading, and a weekly review templateThe throughline: none of the ten strategies is sold as a guaranteed winner. The book's real argument is that pairing a plain-English trading idea with an AI collaborator is a fast way to get from concept to a testable, risk-managed hypothesis - but the testing, tuning, and honest self-review still have to happen before any of it touches real money. Trading Patterns with Claude is a book that takes ten classic technical trading patterns and turns each one into a working, fully-documented TradingView strategy for GBP/USD, built collaboratively with Claude.
The setup: every strategy shares the same $1,000 simulated account, 5-minute GBP/USD chart, a position-sizing formula that scales 3%–10% of equity based on signal strength, and an ATR-based trailing stop instead of a fixed target — so all ten are genuinely comparable to each other.
The ten patterns, split roughly into two camps:
- Trend-following: EMA Crossover, MACD Crossover, Bollinger Band Breakout, Donchian Channel Breakout, Ichimoku Cloud Trend
- Mean-reverting: RSI Reversal, Stochastic Crossover, Bollinger Band Mean Reversion, VWAP Bounce
- Regime-neutral: Engulfing Candle Pattern
Structure:
- Ch. 1–3 — GBP/USD market mechanics and session timing, the shared risk framework, and the math behind expectancy and risk of ruin
- Ch. 4–13 — one chapter per pattern: the logic, full Pine Script code, a parameter table, a worked example trade, common mistakes, and where each pattern wins or fails
- Ch. 14–19 — comparing all ten strategies, the real gap between a TradingView backtest and live trading, a template for building an eleventh pattern with Claude, trade journaling, and an FAQ
- Appendices — glossary, Pine Script function reference, a backtesting checklist, a strategies-at-a-glance table, further reading, and a weekly review template
The throughline: none of the ten strategies is sold as a guaranteed winner. The book's real argument is that pairing a plain-English trading idea with an AI collaborator is a fast way to get from concept to a testable, risk-managed hypothesis — but the testing, tuning, and honest self-review still have to happen before any of it touches real money.
