4pp Preface and prelims + 64pp, plate frontispiece, illustrations, errata slip, blue boards, gilt titles to the front and spine. The book is in very good condition, with discolouration and minor wear to the spine, and a little grubbiness to the endpapers. A rare book, with only four examples recorded on COPAC. Tower Bridge was built between 1886 and 1894, and this book was written just before the completion of the bridge. Sir John Wolfe Barry was an engineer, and he took over control of the construction of Tower Bridge in 1885 after the appointed architect, Horace Jones, passed away. Seller Inventory # 6277

A member of the Provincial Booksellers Fairs Association (PBFA), I have been a nearly full time bookseller since the mid 2000s working from home in Bristol. I concentrate on books on transport (mainly railways), industrial history, maritime, topography, the Beatles & other groups from the 1960s and interesting ephemera.
