The year is 1875. Tory Brighton, an eleven year old girl knows the woman her father is marrying is evil. Having murdered her first husband, Mabel Vickers, a young widow, has caught a wealthy banker, Manning Brighton, in her web. George Baxter, a young detective, knows of Mabel's perfidy but has no means to prove it. Baxter can only warn Brighton, before he sets sail on his honeymoon, to watch his back. As the honeymoon progresses, so does the nightmare Manning has married. Tory's Father is an intriguing tale that will take readers on a gripping adventure from Boston to Europe, where Mabel may strike again.
