This volume, like the first one, is based on the most reliable atlases of the time as well as other sources, such as decrees, books, journals, memoirs, etc. In each instance the old and the modern names are given side by side on the page. Includes bibliography and the list of the original names lost in post-revolutionary times and restored in 1989-1994. In illustrated wraps, with slightly stiffened covers. Slightly dented on outer edges of front cover, dog-ear fold on bottom right edge front cover; title is transliterated in pencil in Roman alphabet on title page.
