Second in the long-running original Tom Swift series, copyright 1910 and listing only the five books of the "starter set" to copyright page, but actually 1929, as revealed by the fact that both the jacket front flap and the publisher's ads to rear of book list 32 Swifts through "His House on Wheels" (1929.) Back matter lists 10 Radio Boys through "In Gold Valley" (1927), but jacket rear flap offers a fuller list of 12 Radio Boys through "On the Pacific" (1929) and jacket rear panel lists nine Don Sturdys through our old favorite, "In Lion Land" (also 1929.) Book "very good" with a slight (1/4-inch, 6 mm) spine lean; jacket "good," still colorful but with a chip missing from top of spine and with a 1/4-inch hole where spine covering meets front panel. Full list of G&D titles to reverse of jacket, in green ink. 212 pp, followed by 8 pp. publisher's ads. Here reduced from $92.
