4to hardback; colour illustrated boards with green cloth spine; Dutch text; this copy is in much better condition than these books normally come to us in, but it does have some pencil notes in the text from titme to time, as if it was possibly used for editing, rather than for a child's use - which would explain it! We have not removed the pencil comments in case they are of interest. Minor rubbing to board edges; gorgeous illustrations; inside cover Is a printed statement - Dit is de eerste opzet van een verhaal, dat onder de naam 'Tom Poes en het geheim van de Blauwe Aarde' in 1941 in het dagblad DE TELEGRAAF verscheen. In 1942 werd dit gegeven gebruikt als scenario voor een tekenfilm (Het Geheim van de Grot) , die tijdens de oorlog werd gemaakt, doch niet is uitgebracht. - This translates as 'This is the first draft of a story, which under the name "Tom Cat and the Secret of the Blue Earth" in 1941 appeared in the newspaper De Telegraaf.
