A tin box measuring 6 ¼ in. x 6 ¼ in. x 4 ½ in. Its appearance is that of eight books bound with a leather strap. The "spines" have the titles of eight Scott novels. The "fore-edge" and the "bottom edge" are gilt. The top panel of the box opens on a hinge to reveal the inside, and had been covered by a "top edge" but that is missing. Undated but about 1903. The markings "Huntley & Palmers Biscuits Reading & London" are stamped on the inside of the lid. Seller Inventory # ABE-5310038726
