Neuware - With selections dating from the fourth century, this invaluable compendium chronicles religious tenets gleaned from a broad range of the Catholic Church's spiritual masters: those whose writings have endured through the generations, placing their works in the elite category of Timeless Classics.W. Bruce Ingram readily acknowledges that reading these iconic texts can prove both daunting and time-consuming. For this reason, he has chosen to artfully extract and synthesize the authors' sublime insights, mystical experiences, and wise counsel through the avant-garde medium of 'found poetry.'Having successfully employed this same method in his previous work, Lisieux's Poet Laureate: Gems from Saint Thèrése's Correspondence, Ingram hopes that, once again, readers will appropriate these found poems-fifty-six in all-as prayerful overtures designed to arouse and sustain a more ardent faith in and intimate rapport with God.
