Beware of doorways through time… and Governors
Amelia Spencer is a Gen X time traveler with a sharp wit, a secret notebook, and an uncanny ability to land herself—and her husband—into centuries-old trouble. She and Henry thought they’d earned some peace after surviving pirates, battles, and the English government. Ha. Nice try.
When an accidental trip through time lands them in 1714, they’re swept into the chaotic aftermath of the Spanish treasure fleet disaster. Stranded among real-life pirates and caught in choices that could rewrite history, Amelia must dodge greedy governors, overconfident buccaneers, a gloriously bearded pirate, and more than a few awkward situations.
Meanwhile, Henry finds himself in the middle of battles, betrayals, and an impromptu naked raid with Sam Bellamy. As tensions rise and pirate alliances begin to fracture, Amelia and Henry must decide whether to fight, flee, or flirt with disaster—and somehow find their way back to the present.
Will they escape the past before history claims them for good? Or will this be their final surrender?
The Time Writer and The Surrender is a swashbuckling, time-twisting adventure brimming with heart, humor, and just enough historical accuracy to get you into trouble.
The Time Writer Series:
A Note on Seasons
The Time Writer series is organized into “Seasons,” with each season exploring a different time period in Amelia’s delightfully chaotic life. You can absolutely dive into any season without reading the others—each stands on its own swashbuckling feet. That said, you might miss a sly nod, a running joke, or a dramatic callback to an earlier escapade.
If that happens? No worries. Just hop in your nearest metaphorical time machine and catch up on the previous seasons. We’ll be here when you return.
