Beware of doorways through time… and the English
House? Check
Cat? Check
Husband? Nope!
Henry Spencer slipped through a time portal to sail with the infamous crew of the Fancy in 1694—and Amelia Spencer, a sharp-tongued Gen X time traveler, is hell-bent on finding him.
Armed with a stubborn streak and questionable plans involving ancient Greek temples (because why not?), Amelia journeys across time and sea, chasing whispers of treasure fleets and pirate legends. Along the way, she teams up with a motley crew of privateers, renegades, and oddly dressed ninjas, all while dodging hangmen, spies, and her own ridiculous luck.
With the East India Company hot on their trail, the men of the Fancy hope to plunder enough to retire on a sun-soaked island with fruity rum drinks. But will Amelia find Henry before the noose tightens? And if she does, will the pirate life keep him from settling down with her—and their feisty cat, Starboard?
The Time Writer and The Chase is a swashbuckling historical time travel adventure that weaves real pirate history with wild imagination, told through the wit, sass, and snark of a woman who’s ready to rewrite history—one sarcastic quip at a time.
Cheese and rice! The only thing Amelia ever wanted was a quiet life. The gods of time travel have other plans.
The Time Writer Series:
A Note on Seasons
The Time Writer series is organized into “Seasons,” with each season exploring a different time period in Amelia’s delightfully chaotic life. You can absolutely dive into any season without reading the others—each stands on its own swashbuckling feet. That said, you might miss a sly nod, a running joke, or a dramatic callback to an earlier escapade.
If that happens? No worries. Just hop in your nearest metaphorical time machine and catch up on the previous seasons. We’ll be here when you return.
