About this Item
London: Tate Gallery, 1976. Staple-bound softcover. 21 pages. First thus. Near fine, but for minor edgewear and creasing. Light soiling to covers. Binding tight, inside clean and unmarked. First English edition, after the dual English/ German editon of 1975 published at the time of his major retrospective in the Kunsthalle in Düsseldorf. This title contains an essay introducing his theory of the "Least Event" and the notion of a "pre-literate, formal graphic procedure which was seen to be a 'language which copied Nature'." Artist John Latham's aesthetic theories, developed over two decades, are based on an interpretation of time, space, and events. Seller Inventory # ABE-1636810669469
