From the Back Cover
Somewhere in the darkness the Tiger waits, ready to strike . . .
Abandoning her comfortable American life, Stefanie Peng sets out for China on a desperate quest to rescue her grandfather, a pastor in the underground church. Her quest sends her to labor camps, secret church meetings, and even prison, bringing her face to face with the value of her freedom and the cost so many pay for their faith.
Little does she know that a Chinese master spy, the Beijing Tiger, stalks her every move, clawing for leverage over her father, a world-renowned physicist, and setting a trap for the leaders of the Chinese church. Only the courage of the enigmatic man who loves her can save her.
A gripping account of a Chinese government conspiracy to annihilate the Chinese church and bring America to her knees.
“From its chillingly realistic beginning Tiger in the Shadows grips readers to its pages as it races to its dramatic and decisive conclusion.”
—Christian Monitor
“This book is well written and a fascinating story. I would have enjoyed it more had I known that it was not based on true events!”
—Cindy Morris
Indiana Association of Home Educators
“Debbie Wilson took accurate research and combined it with her wonderful creative gift of writing to produce a novel that is both entertaining and enlightening. May God use this book to continue to keep this issue before the ‘free church’ in America and to stir us to do all we can to ‘Remember those in chains.’”
—Darcie Gill
