This is a new contemporary romance from this masterful storyteller...Olivia Fletcher runs an eco-friendly house-cleaning firm in leafy affluent Surrey. One of her clients is the bohemian eccentric Moorfield family who live in a rambling Victorian mansion called Ashgrove. Olivia soon realises why none of her employees want to clean there regularly: Vivienne, the matriarch of the family, is impossibly spoilt and demanding, and harks back to her days as a muse to famous artists; Roseanne, her daughter-in-law is a hippy, obsessed by whichever guru of the moment has her attention; and, her daughter Angela has a perpetual hangover and little Primrose seems forgotten by her father Brenton, the set designer for a trendy band. Philip is the only one who takes some responsibility for this colourful family in between his work commitments. Olivia, against her own advice, finds herself becoming emotionally attached to the family and soon her life as a single mother is further complicated by the role she begins to play within the Moorfield family.
