📎 Metaphors, similes and symbolism, oh my! A brief explanation on using this series to expand into ELA Skills:
- In this book series, there is a princess and her memory holds centuries of storms. Each storm is a new story!
- The princess travels through the Thunder Maker: the "thunder" represents inner strength and resilience.
- She helps fend off the little villainous nuggets of doom known as the Thuumps. These villains enjoy making loud, thumping noises to distract and cause chaos: this chaos represents any distraction or problem.
- Magical vs Tragical: represents the fact that though a problem may occur in the day, we can learn to use the Power of Sound (our inner and outer voice) to find resolution and not lose the entire day to the Tragical.
