Add to basketALEXANDRE DUMAS 2 TITLES THREE MUSKETEERS & TWENTY YEARS LATER 1896 & 97. On offer here are two of the three titles of The D Artagnan Romances by Alexandre Dumas. I am pleased to present: The Three Musketeers in two volumes dated 1897 and Twenty Years Later also in two volumes dated 1896. These four books are identically bound in dark blue boards with gilt titles on the spine. These books measure 5 ¼ x 7 ½ inches and include 428 & 418 pages for The Three Musketeers and 491 & 526 for Twenty Years Later . Condition: All four of these small hard cover books are in very good and very similar condition. The hard covers are dust-dulled but essentially clean and the gilt titles on the spine still bright and legible. There has been a minimum of bumping to corners and spine tips. Volume I of Twenty Years has some bumps to the bottom edge. Inside these four volumes are all unmarked and the pages and clean and bright throughout without toning or foxing. The rear hinge of Volume II of Twenty Years After is cracked; all the rest are intact, and the bindings feel tight and sound in all cases. The bindings may be cracked elsewhere (see e.g. the title page & Intro. Note of Vol. 1 of The Three Musketeers) but these books are still firmly bound. They are slightly canted to the right, which hopefully can be corrected with proper placement on your bookshelf. These books are not ex-library or remainders.
