When Myles Cunningham steals the patterns of her family’s clan tartans, symbols of Scottish independence outlawed by the English king, and almost drives the family’s weaving business to ruins in the process, Lady Suisan Harper travels to London willing to risk her honor and her freedom to get them back.
But when she arrives, Suisan can’t take her eyes off of the dangerously attractive man whose presence fills the candlelit room. The weak and indifferent boy she expected turns out to be a strong, hot, and hungry man. Using a false identity on her mission to recover the patterns, Myles believes she is only Maura, a saucy maid happy to share a wealthy man’s bed.
But as Myles’ lips brush hers with fire, Suisan’s carefully woven thread of lies begins to unravel, and a silken strand of desire begins to bind her destiny to the irresistible man that is both her enemy and her beloved.
