Language: English. Approximately 96 pages. English: Print-on-demand reprint. Original edition : 1824. Text in English. This substantial work by the Harmony Society delves into profound philosophical and theological reflections on the destiny of humanity, with particular emphasis on the social and spiritual challenges of the early 19th century. The text offers a unique perspective from this utopian religious community, examining questions of divine providence, moral progress, and the relationship between individual fate and collective destiny. Published in 1824, this treatise provides valuable insights into the intellectual and spiritual currents of the period, blending religious doctrine with contemporary social commentary. The Harmony Society's distinctive views on communal living and spiritual harmony are evident throughout, making this a significant document for scholars of American religious history and 19th-century thought.
