In the five compartments of the spine are shown: a fox face, running hare, a running hunting dog, a running fox, and a horse and rider jumping a fence; all in gilt with gilt decorative emblems in corners and surrounding each image. Both covers show a thick and thin gilt line, a four-diamond shape symbol with a gilt fox face, a running hunting dog, a running fox, and a horse and rider jumping a fence. The turn-ins have a double line, a line containing a small repeated design and large decorative designs in each corner; all gilt; marbled end papers, t.e.g. A very striking binding; the binding and the book are both in fine condition.
